I am a senior citizen living in Marsh Ridge Apts. in Grand Rapids, Mi. We have had many problems with the management of our complex building.... In brief, they expect residents to follow the rules but they never do their own duties. On January 6th and 7th, we had tons of snow and I had to call their office for removal of snow which was piled up around our apartments and behind our cars (usually they were supposed to do it mornings). On Thursday January 6th, I called the office at around 2 and 3 PM but nobody answered and I had to leave my messages for them. That day I had appointment with my doctor and had to cancel it because of carelessness of our building management. Again on Friday January 7th, sometime in the early afternoon I called them and since nobody answered, I had to leave another message. Also I called their main home office in Kalamazoo and again I had to leave another message for our careless & irresponsible managers but I never received any answer from them. I wonder why don't they follow the same rules that they set up for residents. If we are late for payment of the rent and other minor or major things they are very fast to send us a warning and charge us but the same rules don't apply to them? This was brief information or problems that we have had with our careless management. As you know, many of the residents here are old and cannot do anything but to be patient and obey the careless management of our apartments. Resolution Sought Make this right. Do their job or duties.
