We are writing to the Business Consumer Alliance to request your assistance in canceling our timeshare. We have been trying to cancel this timeshare since 2021, but the resort has been absolutely no help whatsoever. We have reached out repeatedly, yet they just keep refusing to assist us. Their representatives have been uncooperative and have not provided any solutions. In fact, their representatives, Zenaida Hall and Kelly Long, have flat out told us that we cannot cancel our timeshare. The situation is becoming very frustrating because we even sent multiple emails to the owners association, and they basically told us we are on our own and should just try to sell it ourselves. It makes zero sense why they would not want to take the timeshare back and resell it. They keep insisting we try and sell it, which seems totally unfair. We feel this is completely wrong, and we should not have to ruin ourselves financially just to get out of this agreement. We are turning to you in hopes that you can help us resolve this issue, and are grateful for any assistance and guidance you can provide us. Resolution Sought Help us get approval to close or cancel this timeshare completely. Please, we beg you for help. We can't continue to afford this and they are forcing us to keep it.

I'd like to file a complaint against Great Eastern Resorts. Their aggressive and high pressure tactics during the sales presentation unethical and aggressive. I was kept in the presentation for over four hours even though I told them many times that I was not interested. Multiple managers came to the table to continue the pressure. They insisted the offer was only available that day and claimed the timeshare would be a great investment for my family. The sales staff promised that maintenance fees would stay steady and not increase much over time. The fees rise every single year and have become impossible to manage on my single income. I was also told I could rent the unit out, but the rental income does not even come close to covering the annual costs. I always had major issues with booking and availability. I was never able to book the times I needed, which makes ownership useless. I was told this was something to pass down to my children, I now see it as a liability and I do not want to risk my two kids inheriting this financial obligation. I have tried to resolve this with Great Eastern Resorts. I have sent many letters and was told they will no longer respond to any of my correspondence. I'd like the Business Consumer Alliance to look into the predatory and unethical business practices of Great Eastern Resorts and help facilitate a conversation to end my agreement with them. Resolution Sought To have the Business Consumer Alliance help facilitate a conversation to end my agreement with Great Eastern Resort.
