A few months back I enrolled with maxsouth to get their internet services. I was guaranteed my bill would be $59 a month. I'd like to add my income is 970.00 monthly I'm homeschooling my son with autism. I've had to pay up to nearly 300 bc I was behind one month, I enrolled in the ebb was approved called the company they said they'd pass it on to supervisor. Never mentioned any additional forms nothing. So, the bill kept coming nothing changed I was being charged 30 to turn services back on 30 for debit card charges you wouldn't believe what all. So Dec 3,2021 I went in the new albany store tell the lady I want the bill fixed late charges what may let's get it straight, before 30 days was up I was billed another $87 with late charges not even 30 days had came up, but in mean time theirs a fire in the house, I can't see my children I can only hear them, my baby is 6yrs old I hear my 20 yr old hollering get out. Finally my 6yr old comes running to what light he seesaw my 20 yr old battles the electrical fire with our sink sprayer, damages were done we were black everything we owned was black but my children thank God I was afraid I'd never see and if had been a few hours later probably wouldn't have but by grace of God their okay. So I call the company for help I needed service for schooling I told them their box had set my house of fire they billed me the $86 I didn't receive help for over a week. Their employees said it was maxsouths fault 100 their wasn't a ground wire. Resolution Sought This company put $$$$$ above and beyond a family's life, they tried to shut me up with offer of one month free service after everything the did and I'd be required to sign a release form with that free month. I've been treated unfairly from get go, I fell way below poverty level and needed help I got over charged with ridiculous charges, we nearly had a disaster and this company valued our lives less than 100. I want the public to know how disgusting and terrible the less fortunate are valued.

I'm struggling keeping the internet going. I only receive $940 a month. I missed one payment with max south and it has turned into a night mare I attempted to work with them called the company made a $80 payment in agreement I'd pay 120 on the next payment the 3rd they turned it off in two weeks wanted another payment with more reconnect fees without warning my son has been without his home schooling work for over a week I called emergency band they finally approved me and first time I called I was informed it didn't matter whether I had the emergency broadband it wasn't going to help with my already due account. So I was ready to give up but I called back again this time even though I gave them a code I'm having to wait for a government approval. So it's just getting worse and worse and their isn't any other services here where I live Resolution Sought I want my service turned back on and their shouldn't be no disconnect fee it shouldn't been disconnected period I was told I could get caught up they took my $80 turned it off anyway wanting more connect fees two weeks later.

A MaxxSouth Customer Service Representative helped the customer complete her EBB application. The customer had her application ID; however, she had not completed the entire application process for EBB. Once the customer's EBB is approved, MaxxSouth will then apply her EBB credit to her previous balance.
