I have taken my husband to the med express in North Huntingdon for follow up to a positive Covid because his cough has worsened they prescribed some cough medicine and an inhaler. We were to get it today at CVS only to find out they closed early due to staffing before the script was ready so I called back to med express to see if the script could go to the Rite Aide at Norwin instead and they said yes but I would have to check with Rite aide to see when and for me to give it 30 minutes so I did and began to call rite aide, no answer would ring then ring busy then hang up on me so I just called the store and said no one is answering at the pharmacy.can someone please help me. I'm scared for my husband. The clerk went and checked with the pharmacy and said no call was placed to them from med express to switch a script from CVS to them so I call back to med express the receptionist was very nice the person who was doing the investigation was another story and she never gave me her name when she finally got on with me.she yelled at me and said I got the clerk at rite aid in trouble and I didn't use the correct verbiage to see if my script was switched. I am not a doctor or pharmacist therefore it is not my job to know the correct verbiage it is my job to ask Rite aid if my script is there, she said it was switched but she didn't know how long before it would be ready as rite aide is short staffed too I tried to explain Resolution Sought Notated and employees trained on ways to have empathy with their patients

This complaint was addressed on a telephone call between the center manager and the complainant. An apology was given for any communication, which made her feel she was to blame at all for the situation. Our staff are reminded to be patient and kind no matter how busy they are and to always put the patient first. The complainant appeared to be satisfied with the conversation and his complaint was closed.
