Their Customer Service/People skills needs a whole class on how to treat people.
I have been going to Meijer on Hillcrest Ave. in Springfield, Oh for over a year. I have been treated fairly when it comes to getting my prescriptions filled, but their Customer Service/People skills needs a whole class on how to treat people. For the last 3-4 times that I have had to call there, before I even get a second to say who I am or why I am calling, I am told to hold, and then I am forgotten. As a matter of fact, I am completely forgotten for no less than 13 minutes, but as long as 22 minutes!! I have also had my call answered and then placed BACK on hold again for another 4 minutes. For all they know, I could be the mother of a child with a terminal illness or even be terminal myself, however, by the way they have treated me, even that wouldn't matter to them! I am also a Pharmacy Technician (elsewhere), and if we tried treating our customers like this, we would be asked to reconsider our career path and the next complaint we would get a written warning. Shame on them for treating the very people that keep them in business as if they are slums on the street and ignoring their needs as they have done to me!! I believe the Technicians should have computer-based training in which they must be questioned by Pharmacists on the correct manners on how to treat their customers. Imagine if ALL the customers were treated this poorly. Meijer would be in dire straits because I have no doubt the Pharmacy is one of, if not THE HIGHEST money maker for them!
