I sent my 2001 centurion eclipse to Mello marine to ad another battery,and ad a duel battery shut off switch. the mechanic Michael zwim didn't even hook the switch up right. i still have power with the switch in the off position,I can start the boat,as well as play the stereo,and all running lights. i learned Mello marine doesn't know how to install a shut off switch after my boat batteries were dead in the morning at the lake .I had to drive home 1.5 hrs to get a battery booster. i paid 318.00$ for labor for something that was a waste of my time. i also took my boat to have the main oil seal leak fixed ,which they had every excuse as to why they were to busy doing oil changes on other boats and no time to repair mine even the they had my boat for 6 weeks. recently took my boat back down there almost 2 months ago to finally get the main seal fixed..they again had excuse after excuse as to why they didn't touch it again because of being to busy doing oil changes,and Winterizing to other boats. this boat shops a joke .I was also told when I checked on the status of my boat after after they had it a month that because there so busy winterizing boats and mines going to be put off that I'll need to pay a storage fee to them ..that's when I knew this place was a joke and went an picked my boat up. never again will I do business with this place..I'll take a video of there poor battery shut off switch job they didn't install right.( I have my receipts showing payment) Resolution Sought Reimburse my 318.00$ I was charged for labor an go out separate ways.

Mr. Chioino first came in for an additional battery and battery switch to be installed in his 2001 Centurion. His complaint mentions that Mello Marine, LLC installed his battery improperly this complaint is the first time we've heard there was an issue with the installation. When Mr. Chioino returned for an oil leak repair and impeller service there was no mention of any battery issue during the service check-in. While his 2001 Centurion was here there was other services ahead of him and we had some employment changes. Our service writer made phone calls to current customers to make sure everything on their service request was correct. He informed the service writer that he was waiting for his oil leak repair and impeller service, she then made his service a priority. They diagnosed the leak and found that his transmission needed to be resealed. This service is beyond our capabilities, therefore, we out sourced a company in Washington that would be able to perform the work. The business was a couple months out for service. The service writer then informed Mr. Chioino with this update and asked if he would prefer to pick up his vessel to store at his own facility or if he'd like to begin a storage contract with us until the Washington company was available. Mr. Chioino decided to pick up his boat and the next form of communication from him was this letter we received. Mello Marine, LLC was never given the opportunity to rectify the situation that he expressed in his complaint. We have called and left messages numerous times as an attempt to reconcile the situation. We value integrity and will always stand by our work, if a customer is unsatisfied we do everything in our power to fix the issue. In this case we were never given this opportunity.

If you couldn't perform the service to fix the oil leak why would you waste my time and make me drive an hour just to leave my boat at your place of business to sit in the hot summer sun??? For no reason...if you can't perform such oil service repairs,why do you advertise your a full service boat shop??????
