I purchased air conditioner that was defective. The original purchase was from Forest Lake. I return the AC unit to Fridley Menards. Fridley tried to accuse me of stealing the air-conditioning on it later on I found out I'll had to do with Forest Lake employee who made a mix-up with the receipts. This was discovered after they reviewed the footage from their cameras, not taking my word for it. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. Menards told the dispute people that they never received the merchandise, but however, in fact, they did receive it. They also returned it to the manufacturer for the defect. They refused to give my money back, which is against their store policies and all the return policies I would like my money back from them as I've been getting nothing but the runaround. I have some very choice videos that back up what I'm saying 100. Resolution Sought I would like my money back plus plus I would like to be compensated for the harassment they put me through and all the miles they burnt up, going back-and-forth to the stores at the request for them owing not to do what they were supposed to do so I would like a couple thousand dollars

Company states; I am sorry that Mr. Clemons experienced a problem when trying to return the air conditioner. I have contacted those involved at the store and they have informed me that Mr. Clemons purchased an air conditioner on 7/2/24 at the Forest Lake Menards Store. Mr. Clemons went back to the store on 7/7/24 to receive a price adjustment on the air conditioner. The Service Desk processed the adjustment and inadvertently gave Mr. Clemons the original receipt back instead of the generated receipt. Mr. Clemons then tried to return the air conditioner at the Fridley Menards store. The return could not be processed because the receipt Mr. Clemons had showed the air conditioner already returned. Mr. Clemons then filed a dispute with his credit card company. I have informed that this dispute has been closed. Mr. Clemons credit card was refunded on 10/23/24 in the amount of $433.49. Please allow 7-10 business days for this credit to process. We value Mr. Clemon's business and apologize for any inconvenience this matter may have caused. This has been a horrible situation. I was accused of stealing. I was called a thief and now I’m in Menards database as no returns unless I have a receipt it all stemmed from their mistake so I’m still not being treated as I should be like everybody else I definitely feel that this has been racially motivated. Also calling my credit card company today. Nobody has returned the money to me. I would also like to add that when my credit card company called the store this is not the information that they reported to my credit card company. They reported that I never returned the air conditioner and that none of the Menards had it. I don’t understand why the great confusion is other than there was definitely a racial motivation here on the employees part at Menards. They even laughed about it. I don’t think it’s funny because technically what they committed was fraud and they tried to keep my money and they still have kept my money. I don’t have my money back. So I paid my credit card statement, but I have not been refunded yet.

As previously stated in our letter dated 10/23/2024, a refund in the amount of $433.49 was processed to Mr. Clemons' credit card ending in 0954 on 10/23/2024. I purchased a side by side maytag freezer refrigerator combo in February. Two days after purchase it wasn't making ice or seemed like it was cooling and freezing properly. Called Menards was told to call manufacturers. It started to work which we thought properly... cancelled the service appointment. 1 MONTH LATER it completely broke, both sides stopped working on March 31st. Had to wait a week for a tech to come out and tell us the compressor is shot, he unplugged it said its pointless to plug it .It is currently sitting unplugged in my home Menards will not replace it!! I am a family of 5 living out of coolers for almost 3 weeks and the part that was supposed to come and get fixed today 4/10 the compressor somehow got turned upside down and oil is spilled all over the part!!! Now I have to wait another 2 weeks to get part and repair!! Menards shame on you for not replacing it!!!! I lost alot of frozen food and food !! Family of 5 and everything is beyond expensive . You make us pay top dollar but do not want to stand by the products that you sell in your store. I'm asking for a replacement not a refund!! Resolution Sought Replace my refrigerator I haven't even made a second payment on it yet and it's completely broke!!!! and don't offer me the display model that's on the floor in the store either!!!
