I recently sold an item on their site. In which I 100 followed all rules and guidelines listed in order to qualify for seller protection. However the buyer lied and claimed sent wrong item and sent them a picture of a 1944 penny I stead of 1943 like I sent. They accepted his fabricated evidence and initiated the return. I complained telling them I indeed sent accurate item in which they didn't want to hear. I've asked hundred times for contact info in order to file lawsuit, none of which had been responded to. Nowhere, in there policy does it state that my seller protection relies solely on the merit of the buyer. That just ain't right. Resolution Sought I just want either my penny back or the 200 I was assured would receive if followed appropriate guidelines.

I sold an item for $130. Packaged it really well, no issues. It was delivered today and the buyer opened a case stating that the package had "insufficient packaging" and then the case closed within minutes without even hearing my side. No pictures were included. Upon further investigation, it seems like the buy bought my item from a spam account. Mercari is not giving me any photo evidence of this issue. They're not looking into the fraudulent account and they're not giving me my money back. I should also be protected under the seller shopping warranty. I am moving and I really need that money, but now I'm out the money and the item. If they could at least send the item back then I would also accept that. I've also heard that mercari filed a claim with USPS and then keeps the money for themselves, not caring about the seller or the buyer. I'm just really frustrated that a large company would take advantage like this Resolution Sought I would like to receive the money from my sale.
