I went to get my tires checked and then they told me I needed an idler arm & Pittman arm and 4 shock absorbers. So they put the idler arm and Pittman arm on which they charged me 770.00 for the parts & 450.00 labor. The shocks were 740.00 for the parts and 225.00 for labor. I called Advanced auto and got prices on the parts. For all of them and they were 608.96 O'Reillys was 585.95 and that was for the higher price parts. Also I called Midas in Panama City and they told me it would be around 1600.00 for parts and labor. I was only there for about 4 1/2 hours. I They also said that I needed 3 more new tires and that wasn't true. I had them checked by someone else and they said I have at least another 10,000 miles on them. I was going to Tallahassee the next day and just wanted the tires checked. Also I had a doctors appointment at 2 so they said they could get it done. I was under a little stress and wasn't really thinking about it . I normally check things out before I make decisions like that but they acted like it really needed to be done. I also had a front end alignment which was 129.99 with a one year warranty. At Midas in Panama City it was 99.99 with a one year warranty. And I got an oil change also. My total bill was 2610.63. I really feel as if I was charged triple for the parts & labor. Also they charged labor for each job but they did all of it in 4 1/2 hours. So I didn't check on that. I just can't believe what they charged me for the parts. Please help. Resolution Sought Refund me 900.00.
