On March 3, 2026, I sent a formal Debt Validation Request to Midland Credit Management (MCM) via Certified Mail regarding account number 323144298. According to USPS Tracking and the signed Return Receipt (Article Number: 9589 0710 5270 2452 6697 33), this request was delivered and signed for by "S. Ward" on March 10, 2026. Despite receiving my timely dispute, the collector failed to provide the requested validation documents (specifically an itemized statement and chain of title). Instead of validating, the collector bypassed my request and proceeded to verify the debt with the credit bureaus, which I confirmed on March 29, 2026. This is a direct violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) 15 U.S.C. § 1692g, which requires a collector to cease all collection activity including credit reporting and verification until they have mailed the consumer the required validation. Furthermore, the collector's own correspondence admitted this debt is time-barred and beyond the statute of limitations for legal action. Resolution Sought I request that Midland Credit Management immediately delete this trade line from all credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) due to their failure to validate and their subsequent violation of federal law.
