I hired them to install a timing change in my truck in January of 2019. The problem came back up that they fixed in 2021. I have a lifetime warranty on the part but not the labor. Part cost 300 dollars and the labor.was over 2,000. I asked them how can we resolve the issue and they responded by saying we don't work on engines anymore. I say fine point to someone that does but they don't want to honor the labor. Resolution Sought Fix the problem or pay someone else to fix it

We are not obligated to provide labor or to pay the cost of labor for needed repairs. The labor warranty has expired. Owner acknowledges in his complaint that he has a lifetime warranty on the part but not the labor. This is correct. Our labor warranty is for 12 months or 12 thousand miles, and has expired. The invoice for these repairs is dated 12/03/2018 and the 12-month warranty period expired on 12/03/2019. This repair is outside of the 12 month or 12,000 miles labor warranty period. Just recently, the owner returned with similar issues. We scanned the onboard computer and determined that it appears to be within the timing systems. He was advised of the warranty as stated and the fact that we no longer do internal engine repairs. We contacted our vendor and confirmed that the part has a lifetime warranty. We advised the owner that he could take it to the repair shop of his choice and the part only would be warranted. He asked for referrals and we suggested Bosche's Auto Service or Gerald's Automotive.
