I was told by Suzan Kayword from Midway auto and rv that they would purchase my rv for 35000. I then cancelled several ads I had running thinking that I had a done deal with Midway. About 2 weeks later I phoned Suzan to tell her that she could send someone to collect my rv and cut me a check for the $35000 we had agreed on. Suzan told me that I misunderstood her and that she would instead buy it for $30000. Myself and 2 other persons heard her say she would buy it for the $35000. When I first heard her offer of $35000, I was elated in that I would now not have to drive several hundred miles to another dealer and sell it to them. Unfortunately, I told this to Suzan who undoubtedly thought she had me over a barrel and so changed her story to suit her company's greed believing that I would accept the lower offer to avoid the long drive. (my wife and I are both elderly) Midway's actions are dishonest to say the least. I tried calling the company's manager and have not heard from him. Resolution Sought purchase my rv for the agreed sum of $35000.

I just believe that was a misunderstanding. We are in the business of buying and selling campers and buy and sell campers every day. If we do make a cash offer on a camper we do expect to buy it at the same time. We would never make a cash offer and them wait to get the camper until the end of the month. We do consign a lot of campers and sell them for customers. This has worked very well for our customers and Midway. When we do business with someone we have everything in order. If they buy from us we always give them a bill of sale. If we are buying a camper we make sure any agreement is in writing so this doesn't happen, where there is a he said, she said scenario. We are very sorry that this person and Susan weren't on the same page as to what was going to happen. In the future, please talk to Tom our manager about any purchases. Again, we are very sorry about the misunderstanding.] I am very sorry that you feel how you do. I have talked to Susan and Tom the manager, both claim they talked about amounts, but never settled on an exact amount until camper was able to be purchased. Again, I am sorry for the misunderstanding. We have never in 20 plus years in business had this problem before. We are going to implement a written, text message, or email policy for the future, so misunderstandings like this don't occur in the future. That way everything is in writing. I would suggest that you also get a purchase agreement in writing in the future.
