Purchased LG Dryer in May of 2020. 2 weeks after purchase dryer made a very loud noise when on. Called Midway said they couldn't come out and had me call LG. I had them provide service to repair the dryer. They came out in a couple of days. I asked LG about a 5 year warrantee. Asked for model and serial numbers. Checked about warrantee and said I couldn't get any warrantee because dryer was manufactured in 2016 and was refurbished. Was I shocked. I was not informed of this at time of purchase. Called Midway talked to the salesman Scott who said he knew nothing about it. It took me more than three months to finally get ahold of the Store Manager and through heated conversation, he agreed to 5 year warrantee if I payed half. Not what I was expecting. The assistant manager at Howards is the person who was Manager of Midway Home Solutions. Jason Montana. I purchased the dryer from the scratch and dent area of the store. From that area I have purchased a washer that lasted for 13 years with no repair at all, range, leather chair, bed etc. Have done business with Midway for over 20 years. Now I find out they sneak bad items to sell as new. Have any other complaints come to BBB about Midway Home Solutions?? I would be curious to know. Resolution Sought To either replace the dryer with a knee one with all the feathers my LG has, plus the extended warrantee to be applied to new product to follow the one year warrantee. Or return all the money we spent minus the delivery fee of $75.00.
