Handyman Jim was hired to install an exterior door. He didn't have a measuring tape or all the proper tools needed for this basic job. He didn't measure the 2x4, had to cut it twice and it was still crooked. My Dad was trying to help me by finding a handyman to do this job - he was in construction but is now retired in his 70's so he didn't want to take this on himself. My dad helped Jim a bit and was watching him make several mistakes over the course of the two hours he was there. He used the wrong screws, and didn't install the hinges correctly. After he got the door hung, my dad told him that was enough since he realized he will have to fix his mistakes himself or find alone else to fix/finish the job properly. The handyman said he didn't know how to install the doorknob also…. The website assures professional and honest work. Jim asked my mom to leave a 5 star review. The next day he texted her twice again asking where her review was. Seems really pushy, and anyway his work was unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend him to anybody. I was actually questioning if he really did work at this business, based on his lack of experience and behavior. Resolution Sought Full refund with no repercussions. This guy knows where I live and also knows where my parents live. This guy is scamming people into thinking he's a professional handyman.

This family is a scam trying to ruin my name over $125. I am actually quite shocked they would get on here and lie. I had every proper tool for job that I needed. The family wanted to rig a job up and they should be ashamed of themselves because they are pitiful. They did not have proper sized door, the door the had no hinge cutouts and was a steel door. Father wanted to screw a 2x4 in the door to make up for height difference also wanted holes gauged in jam to make hinges work. Whole job was a rig job the dad insisted on. I told them the proper way to fix door. I was simply helping them as her door was kicked in. To blame me for this is defaming and slander. They are the scammers I am professional and have always been. Funny thing is I have installed doors 100s of times no problems. They are a joke was $125. Would be glad to refund to never have to hear from them again.

Customer Rebuttal

UPDATED 8/14/23: So when and how am I getting the supposed refund? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ He didn't have a tape measure or a pencil. That's bread and butter tools for the job. I had to hire someone else to redo everything. I can give you his notes but regardless, calling customers "pitiful" isn't good business. If it's a stand up company, you shouldn't have to beg customers to leave 5 stars. I look forward to the refund.
