I put my car in Mike body shop for repairs from an accident. He told me the estimate was 3400.00, so my insurance paid 2900 00 and I paid 500.00 deductible in May 2021 and it now July 2021 i still haven't gotten my car back or fixed from Mike body shop, he has lied to me and my insurance adjuster that it almost ready but it not and I'm a disabled veteran that need my car to get to my doctors appointments in Birmingham VA hospital. I have heard that he is taking Cadillac converter from his customers cars. Resolution Sought I just need my car fixed or the 3400.00 from insurance and the 600.00 that I had to pay to rent cars 2 different occasions to get to my doctors appointments at the Birmingham VA hospital

Car was picked up on 8/4 and Mr. Brooks signed a release stating all original parts previously said were removed were not and intact. His battery, catalytic converter, etc all present, original and accounted for. Mr. Brooks further acknowledged in writing that he had not paid his deductable. Left happy.

The original complaint about Mike body shop is this, after 4 months of having my car, he never fixed my car so I had to move it to another mechanic shop where I have to pay $1,161.00 to fix my car and I would like to know how I can get him to refund the $2,900.00 that my insurance paid him to fix my car to begin with? Or to get him to pay the $1,161.00 for getting my car fixed. If he didn't know what he was doing in the beginning then he shouldn't have messed with my car. So how do I go about getting him to pay for fixing my car because the new mechanic says that he really messed up my car steering column. I want him to refund the money that ALFA my insurance company paid him so I can have my car fixed properly
