Rose purchased a Scooter that came with a new battery on 3/30/2022. An agreement or guarantee for an extended service warranty on the battery was never purchased or requested, and the Battery Manufacturer normally handles Limited Product Warranties. We don't have a battery in stock to sell her and we recommend she look for a local Mobility service provider in her area as our location is 60 miles away. Mobility Plus tried to help Rose with her request while we were closed for the holidays. The Mobility Consultant, Lynette sent her a local mobility equipment supplier contact information that was only a mile from her home. The salesperson at the local supplier we referred her to confirm he would help her. We are not sure what transpired with the referral we gave her, but she kept calling Mobility Plus after we sent her the local supplier contact, and she continues to call needing a battery. While her complaint states Lynette did not call her back, Lynette did call and left a voicemail to inform Rose we don't have anyone available at this time to come to her home to service batteries and sent her another supplier that is closer to her home. We are not responsible at this point for her battery service or replacement. The following detail the standard warranty information on batteries: "The Manufacturer Limited Product Warranty for battery use in a mobility application can be replaced with a free equivalent at any of the manufacture dealers if it fails due to defects in materials or workmanship within six (6) months from the date of installation. This warranty does not cover failures in service due to the following conditions: 1. Unauthorized modifications or alternations to the products. 2. Negligence, accident, abuse, misuse including improper jump starting, or improper, unsuitable or abnormal storage of the products. 3. Improperly installed or applied batteries. Improperly charged (either under or over) batteries. Opening of batteries that are designed and intended in use as sealed products. 4. Physical damage due to acts of nature or man which stress products beyond design limits or other undesirable influences. 5. Normal "wear and tear". 6. Any storage of batteries shall be at an ambient temperature of 77°F or less and user shall give a freshening charge to all batteries every six months."

Lynette has not called me back and the phone number she gave me was wrong. I know they told me I could call anytime no matter what. I want to know how long the warranty is for? I never got a book on the cart. and I doubt they are going to do anything. I don't like people who don't tell the truth. I will get the batteries myself. They are not going to replace the batteries.

Company Final Response

Dear Rose, I am so sorry to learn that you're still in need of a battery service. I understand how frustrating it can be not having a working battery. As for warranty, the manufacturer's limited warranty is for 6 months, which has expired. We take customer satisfaction very seriously and customer service is very important for our company. Management investigated your situation and on December 09 at 02:33 PM, you provided Lynette with your new number, and then she used that number to call you and texted you this information that I'm not able to add the screenshot of the texts in this portal. She wrote "Call this number 813-265-2520 with the contact ''. He is willing to come by and service your batteries. . . This company is around the corner from you. Please call him so you can get our scooter fixed". Lynette shared the company contact with you "OUC Medical (813) 265-2520". The number matches what was provided and texted to you, and I called the number myself to verify and it works. Once again, I sincerely apologize for not being able to provide you with a battery service at this time, and hope the local provider we recommended can help solve the issue you're having
