My 19 month long course of treatment with nurse practitioner Kellie Newsome was completely unprofessional, mismanaged and in the end, incredibly harmful. Professional boundaries were violated in numerous ways—everything from bad mouthing fellow employees, revealing intimate details about her relationships with Aiken & his kids, her own trauma and psychiatric issues all the way to taking me out for lunch & drinks. No appropriate handling of her own countertransference issues. No treatment plan EVER communicated—Dr McDonough confirmed this to be true! No crisis management plan EVER communicated—again, Dr McDonough confirmed this to be true. For 19 months, even when I was having noticeable edema issues that I brought up to her, never were labs ordered for me. I was on several meds including Zyprexa and Seroquel. When Kellie Newsome announced that she had "failed" and was terminating therapy, I was totally deceived. She gave me lies including that she had resigned the practice, also indicated that she wanted to maintain a personal relationship with me "no matter what anyone says". It did not take very long to figure out that she had been lying all along and was continuing to lie. My chart records from her were nothing but confabulations. Resolution Sought I would like all of my out of pocket expenses for my care to be reimbursed as well as the legal expenses that I've been out during this ordeal.
