I am a new homeowner to a property in Las Cruces New Mexico. I am trying to get water services connected at my home the provider company is moongate Waters in Las Cruces New Mexico I have asked to get services on and they are refusing to connect unless I pay the previous owners bill that has not been connected for 3 years they're standing on the past 3 years that has been damages to the water meter and people using water illegally they want me to pay for all the damages the water usage and the previous owners bill that was not paid I tried to explain to them that I have not been the owner for the past 3 years that I just bought the property a month ago they are staying to me that all of that needs to be paid or they are not providing services to me they have cursed at me they have been really really ugly and talk to me awful they said they didn't care what I had to say that if that bill was not paying that I will not get water services at my new property I do not know what else to do I feel that I do not need to pay that bill due to the fact that I do not live there I was not the property owner so I am not sure what my next steps are I have had to live in motel rooms for the past month and a half which causes me a lot of money cuz my family is fairly large I have spent a lot of money motel rooms food things that I should not be having to pay when I have a home so I need to know what I can do to get my water services on Resolution Sought I would like for the business to turn my services on due to the fact that I do not owe this company any outstanding bills I did not vandalize their water meters so I would love for them to turn my services on so me and my children can go home
