The Management Company, run by one person, lies and misrepresents everything, including not complying with Los Angeles Rent laws and Regulations. When we did our walk through in April the manager stated to us that everything looked good and asked us where to send our deposit. After two weeks and not having received it we texted her, (this is the only way to contact her) she then stated to us that she was still waiting for receipts from a worker. Weeks later she sends us pictures of, so called, work done and bogus charges for painting. We lived in this unit for 2 years and should not be charged for painting, according to Renters Rights in the LA Rules and Regulations. The amount for painting was $3,300.00, the exact amount of our security deposit. When it came time to renew our 2nd year lease, she refused to give us a month to month lease. Instead she gave us an addendum stating that we would paint the unit ourselves before moving out. We did not sign it, yet continued to pay rent on time monthly. We have tried to sue her for our deposit in small claims court, however she and the owner have successfully evaded being served. Throughout the two years we had a leaking roof every time it rained causing water damage, an air conditioner that never worked well and a garbage disposal that took almost two months to replace. These problems were constant and never addressed correctly. Resolution Sought Return security deposit of $3,300.00
