Lamont Miles, Sr. contracted to remove and replace our back door, build a 12' x 12' covered deck on the back of the house, and an 8' x 10' front porch. His license isn't valid, he used sub-standard floor and roof joists, and nothing is plumb or square. We have tried to get receipts and he refuses. He says work is warranted but will not repair anything. We have had to have someone else repair the door so that it will lock and seal the roof because he did not use flashing nor lathes to screw the metal to. He has numerous complaints against his work in his former location of Philadelphia, PA. He has ignored all attempts to resolve the issue. We are now requesting a complete refund to fix his shoddy work. He did suggest that we fill all the gaps and mis-cuts with silicone, sand it, and paint it and no one would see the bad workmanship. We supplied materials..decking, door, metal for the roof even though he was to supply the metal per our contract, screws, some wood, etc. He made sure to get all the money before he finished, and only worked a total of less than 1 1/2 weeks, never showing up when he said he would, over a period of 5/18/23 - 7/5/23. We are elderly and social security is our only income. Can you help us with this? Resolution Sought We want a total refund so we can hire someone who knows what they are doing to fix it so it is safe. Deck flooring and porch flooring and deck roof are all sagging and bowed. If a 'zero' star rating was possible, that is what we would give him.
