Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. I hired National Tax Debt to prepare my personal and business tax returns for the years 2021 through 2024. It has now been over a year since our agreement, and they have not delivered the promised services or provided a fair resolution to my case. Throughout this time, communication has been extremely poor. Whenever I requested updates, I was frequently told my emails had gone to their spam folder. No clear plan or timeline was ever provided for how my case would be resolved. On July 25, 2025, I received an email from Jackie McLaughlin acknowledging that my business returns (1120-S) had not been completed. She stated that the company only prepares personal returns, but had "made an exception" for me. Despite this, neither my business nor personal returns have been completed. Due to these delays and lack of progress, I have decided to have my returns prepared by another tax firm. I understand the company may respond with a defensive statement; however, I am fully prepared to provide copies of my email communications with National Tax Debt to verify the accuracy of my statements and the timeline of events. Resolution Sought My goal is not to recover funds but to ensure this complaint remains on record and accessible to the public, so others are aware of my experience before entering into a contract with this company.
