BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Complainants allege that their credit cards were charged without their authorization. Most allege that the offer for automobiles, auctions, and repossessed homes listings is misrepresented. The reasons they cite for misrepresentation are that the lists are outdated, listings had disconnected phone numbers, phone numbers reached companies who did not know anything about the offer, and homes that were already sold. Also, customers are promised a certain amount of listings that would meet their requested criteria, but when lists were received the amount of listings were significantly less and did not meet the criteria requested. Others state that they did not receive the listings as requested but were charged for the service. In addition, some said they were engaged in trial program memberships that were not agreed to or authorized, but were offered as a “thank you” to their customers. These offers are presented as memberships and are billed at only $1 for a 30 day trial. A few complainants allege the company refused to cancel the service or issue a refund.

The company responds to complaints by stating that all calls are recorded and that complainants agreed to the offers and the terms and conditions. Other responses include: the complaints are invalid or they were never contacted in regard to cancellations. In some cases, the company responds by stating that if the Customer Support Department was contacted they would issue a refund and put the consumers information on the do not call list.
