Bad business practices!

I received a 3 piece livingroom set, but I did not realize that the sofa was broken until over a month later when I tried to move it to vacuum behind it, and the legs on the right side front and back collapsed and the sofa went down. Mind you the sofa had barely been sat on at all. My visitors usually sat in the chair or the loveseat, which both I am satisfied with. This set was $800, and the sofa to me is the most important piece to the set.
When I brought the issue of the sofa to the company, I was treated as though I was responsible for the furniture being damaged goods. I was also told by the stores manager that I signed a paper stating that the furniture was okay when it was delivered. Okay! So I guess that I had the delivery guys to flip over the sofa for me to inspect the sofa, right? Give me a break!!
The deception was on the company. They were aware that the sofa was damaged when it was loaded on the truck for delivery. The sofa was set up by the delivery men. They had to put the legs and the back boards on all 3 pieces of the furniture once it was placed in my livingroom. How could they not have seen that the sofa was damaged?
So they saw that the wood beneath the sofa was cracked, and that the legs was not screwing in properly. But they just stuck the legs in, positioned the sofa where I wanted it, and then they left.
It may have taken me longer than a month to find out about the damaged sofa if I had not moved it to clean behind it!
The manager also said to me that I had the furniture for over a month, and why am I just complaining about the sofa being damaged?
He was implying that I damaged the furniture.
He was very nasty, arrogant, and rude!
And I would not recommend anyone to do business with NATIONALWIDE FURNITURE on Gratiot Avenue in Detroit.
And I know that I will not ever patronize them again!
I give them 2 thumbs down!
