I would like Netdebt employees to stop misrepresenting themselves as being from another company and trying to defraud people.

I called a debt consolidation service called credit associates from the commercial. I spoke to a representative that identified herself as Cindy . She then told me she could save me $372 a month on my current bills. She took my info and told me I could e-sign my application. Cindy did not let me e-sign. She signed my signature and initialed it herself and mailed me a copy of that application with her having signed and initialed this for me. The application had the company Netdebt on it which was not the company she said she was from. When I called back to find out why Cindy signed my signature and what the Netdebt company was. I got no answer or response to several messages. I believe Netdebt is a scam. I had to close my bank account and put a fraud alert on my name. I figured out they were a scam before they withdrew money from my account and would like to warn other people.

Poor

My experience with NetDebt was very negative since every time I called to check on my sons account I was given a different story from each customer service person I spoke too. Most of the customer service staff are themselves ill informed of the true process. From the very beginning, the sales person was not up front about how the process really worked and no one informed me that my son had to have half of the amount he owed in his account before they would even start to negotiate a settlement. If it had not been for the Business Consumer Alliance I am sure my complaint would not have been resolved. In the 14 months that I worked with NetDebt it was almost impossible to speak with someone above the customer service staff to find out what was really going on with my sons account. The complaint I filed was because NetDebt had given me 3 different settlement amounts my son owed NetDebt because again the staff are not correctly informed of the true process themselves. I cannot think of anything to tell you positive about NetDebt other than they did settle my sons account but it cost me $5,000 more than I was first told. In hindsight I should have taken out a personal lone to pay the debt instead of ruining my sons credit. Just so you know the final amount you owe NetDebt is 22 of what the amount is after months of late charges and interest fees since they tell you not to talk to the company you owe money so they keep sending you bills and rack up the charges. I will never use a debt consolidation company ever again and if you are smart you will not either.
