I called New Day to refinance two of my USAA credit cards. They told me that I was enrolled in a "Hardship Program" due to the setbacks from the pandemic and my husband and I have chronic illnesses. New Day setup Global Trust to withdraw $460.26per month from my checking account. Fortress Law from Deerfield Beach took $59.00 of the $460.26per month. In the last week of July, I got emails saying that my Fico score had dropped to 520. It had been in the 700's. I told my son the first week of August and called USAA to ask them if New Day had contacted them. They told me the last contact was in June. New Day was not and had not done any negotiations for me with USAA. I paid USAA $1,712.00 to make my accounts current. Global Trust refunded me $1,757.60. I paid them $2,407.56. I am suppose to receive $236.00 from Fortress for 4 months, but paid $354.00. I haven't received anything at this time. USAA told me that New Day was going to wait until my cards were charged off and I would basically have no credit at all. And if their program saved me any money, they were going to take that money and call them their service fees. This Hardship Program is a scam! New Day Financial tells you to stop paying your credit cards and to start paying them on day 1. I paid them for 6 months and wish I had never seen the ad on TV! Resolution Sought Please get me a full refund $1003.96. And I would like to warn other people about this scam. I'm sure they have taken a lot of peoples' money. Please take their infomercial off the air. Ban them!
