I am a homeowner who is currently trying to find a contractor to install an air source ductless system. I called New England Ductless, to ask if they would come and give me a quote. The person who answered name was Larry. I told him that I wanted to do it soon and that I had already begun the process of searching for a company. I told him after reading an article in the newspaper today that mention their company I thought it would be good to benefit from their expertise particularly after hearing from others that I should keep my oil tank as a backup). To my surprise and absolute dismay, Larry was quite disrespectful to me: he told me to email the manufacturer. Since I had given him no other reason to treat me this way I have a feeling he detected that I am a person of color). Having never had this occur from a company whose services I will be paying for, I decided to call again. The second time I got an answering service and subsequently no other person picked up. Undeterred, I used my home phone to call and then Larry answered again. I asked him why he hung up on me and he said he did not want my business. I just want you to know that this is the first time a company open to the public has been so blatantly hostile to me. I find this type of treatment assigned to some potential customers of New England Ductless unacceptable. I hope that the call was made on a recorded line. I called the company between 9 and 10:30 a.m. this morning, Thursday, Oct. 27. Resolution Sought That the company's managers be made aware of this treatment and to be able to hear about how the matter has been resolved.

The customer who filed a complaint was contacted on 11/7. We were already aware of the interaction with our employee and stand behind them 100%. The customer was trying to get free work to compare a quote they had already received, which is not what our free estimates are for.
