My wife and I refinanced our home with new day USA and now we are receiving two or three mailings each week and constant phone calls from New Day USA saying that we are valued customers and wanting us to take out additional funds that would increase our payment . I was polite at first and ask that I not receive any more phone calls or mailings. Resolution Sought I would like for the business to respect my request and stop the phone calls and mailings.

I have filed 2 complaints about this company with the FTC # 169293365, second was files today # 170780078. Both are about deceptive and misleading advertising, I will be happy to forward the complaints if requested to do so. Briefly, the mortgage company New Day USA is advertising that the consumer should pay off there high rate credit cards in some cases 22 to 30 with a lower rate from New Day USA. Even if the rate was 30 since credit card are based on a annual rate (APR ),that would be 2.5 monthly. Mortgages are based on simple interest, monthly, most of the payment is interest. There are not disclosing this in there advertising. Personally, I don't believe most people understand what is going on here. It should be disclosed that mortgages are over a longer period of time with a different type of interest calculation. That 's why the payment is going down but the rate is going substantially higher costing them thousands over the life of the mortgage. If New Day USA wants to solicit refinances, that's fine but they should not be able to deceive the public into thinking that this would be in there overall best interests. Hopefully you will be able to assist in this mater and advise this mortgage company to stop deceiving the public. Thank You! Resolution Sought Change there deceptive and misleading advertising.
