My 2016 Ford Escape broke down on June 2, 2022 had it towed to Norris Ford. Ford stated they were going to put in a new transmission. Near the same time I received a SAFETY RECALL NOTICE: 22S43/NHTSA RECALL 22V413. 2016 ESCAPE. VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION IS 1FMCU0GX4GUC52160. The problem is on the vehicle it may be possible the transmission shifter cable bushing is damaged or Missing. I'm getting the run around not knowing what Ford purposes to do. Put in a jew transmission or fix the Recall. Most importantly when will I get my car back? They told me 9weeks when I called they stated they ordered the wrong transmission? Really,? I spent over $2000 in rentals and as a last resort bought another car to get back and forth to work. I've spent $10,000 this Summer because of this. I'm a Senior but still work. I've one income and get paid twice a month. Ford has caused me financial hardship and very well could've lost everything because of them. At this hour, I don't know when I'll get my car back and what they're doing? A new transmission or fix the Recall problem. Norris Ford has failed in all lines of communication. Please assist me because it's been over 13 weeks and no resolution from Ford. Resolution Sought I want my 2016 Ford Escape FIXED AND RETURNED TO ME.
