I went to ER for kidney stone. It was small I was there for about an hour. I received 1 iv 1 dose of morphine and 1 ct scan no contrast. The bill was $10,500. My high deductible plan didn't pay but negotiated down to $3950. This was negotiated from the BS $10,500 figure. Included was a $3000 ER fee (you know for walking in the door) and $5337 for the ct. This is what I have a HUGE problem with. The average price in GA is $200-$900. $5337 is price gouging and disgraceful. Resolution Sought I will pay up to $2500 total. This is rational and reasonable. The $5337 is insane.
