I have had a neighbor from across the hall break into my apartment, and take a few small items, including a ps5. I have proof of the break in on video and everything, but due to poor discretion and discernment they are not wanting to believe that I have no personal connections to this neighbor. I am living in unsafe conditions while being held accountable for paying the rent in the space I feel unsafe in and no one including the police are willing to do anything for the safety of my home. The neighbor is still living across the hall with multiple other people coming over staying and leaving, I live by myself, occasionally I have my lady friend and her 2 year old over that's practically family, and I am now unable to have them over due to it being unsafe. I really don't want to have to use deadly force in a situation that should be resolved by this apartment complex. This whole situation has me stressed, distraught, and exhausted. I just don't understand why no one is willing to handle this properly for the safety of my life as one of their occupants. I'm truly disgusted and saddened one is able to take the proper precautions to protect my life. Resolution Sought Allow me to break my lease with no penalties or fees.
