I rented a car through Priceline for 10 days. I paid $553.46 and it stated for small car or company's choice. I asked the salesman if I could have an SUV. He said he would do an upgrade for 50 off. I told him I do not need insurance since I am already covered. He said he would just add minimal insurance for things not covered. The total I saw in the electronic device he had me sign was $697.85. So after subtracting what I already paid, I should have owed $144.39. But I was charged the additional $697.85 on top of the $553.46. I have never paid so much for a rental car in my life. I should have read the fine print, but I trusted the salesman and thought I was getti g a 50 discount. He scrolled up on the device so that all I saw was the $697.85 and I signed it. Plus I was charged for anextra day and returned it a day early. They wouldn't help me online since my email is in my husband's name even though I gave them all of the info and we have the same last name. When I called, i was told that I didnt bring it back before 8am so I couldnt get a day refund. I paid the extra day before 8am though. I was duped and lied to and ripped off. Resolution Sought I would like a refund for the $553.46 that I had already paid for this rental. I would also like a refund for the day early that I returned it.
