I met David O'Brien on 11/6/21 for a tree estimate he wanted half down from 3,500 which he wrote 3,800. I told him I didn't feel comfortable with paying him half. Because I had a funny stomach feeling about him. He was acting weird. So after I gave him the 500.00 deposit I did so. We researched on Facebook & on Google I was blown away by what I seen. So, I immediately called him and asked what's going on with your reputation. I said I read all these complaints about him & his business. He swore a Puerto Rican girl he was dating was going around doing these scams and he had nothing to do with them, so I asked why didn't he pay, these people back their funds. He said he cleared up those allegations/ matters. He agreed to start service on 11/8/21. I text him I told him if he's not there on that date I want a refund. I asked on the 7th and on the 6th for a refund, he kept talking a good game. So, he said on the 8th that he said Mon or Tues I said no you didn't, that he said Monday. He assured me he would be there today. And I text 8:10 am on the 9th and called twice. No answer I then text after still no response. I rode by the property he was supposed to start tree removal on Blaine St. 14208. No one was there. I warned him that if this a scam give me my refund, he assured it was not. And I have the contract. Resolution Sought I want a refund asap, And I want to press charges to the fullest extent. Just the fact he's going around on estimates looking in client's eyes and lying/ Handshake and running off with people money. I want him locked up, To pay back all the people he owes and business shut down indefinitely. And I did warn him.
