On June 19th at 2pm my husband and I checked into my room and was informed that the room was not ready and that we will be receiving a text message when the room was ready. We never received the text message at all so at 7pm we returned to the key pick up line and was informed that the room had been ready and they apologize but the texting system had been malfunctioning. I requested to speak to a supervisor (Melissa 010930) and requested that our room be upgraded to a suite for our inconvenience but was informed that only the room taxes and resort fees could be refunded even though it was the resorts system that malfunctioned which resulted in my whole day being wasted. We were unable to utilize the amenities nor the beach because the whole day had gone. The only thing to do was to sleep and wake up and check out!!! $30 is not enough for my husbands Father's Day trip ruined day! We drove a whole 5hrs here so we reserve a extra night in order to be able to relax and enjoy the beach and the amenities but that is causing us to miss a whole day of paid work, so $30 compensation is definitely not acceptable!!! Resolution Sought I think we should be offered a future stay in a suite with dinner!
