Our 94 yr old grandmother had to put in a nursing home for rehabilitation after hip surgery but her health declined so she made plans to stay. At this point she made my husband David Spence her POA. She stayed for 2 yrs. During that time they would charge her here an there for little extras but because she was Happy she didn't want to make a fuss. Sadly our daughter passed away during this time an she offered to help with the burial as she had a small bit of savings. That following Christmas they said we owed more money over a mistake. When we questioned it they threaten to sue the financial person threatened to sue us for elder abuse. She saw on the back reports we had taken out the money but not why. We gave her a thousand an then asked for receipts an proof. Two days later she called an said never mind. On June 6th our Memaw passed away. My husband collected her things an canceled the auto withdrawals. When he went to get the money in her auto help with her burial they refused to refund our family the money. We have gotten nothing but the run around. We had to take out loans to make sure she was buried next to our papaw. Every time we call they give us some excuses to this day. Resolution Sought We would like the money they stole back, an apology. Maybe next time they will be kind to the next family an not steal from them.
