Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) Explained The Complaint Resolution Index (CRI) is an indicator on how responsive a company is in addressing and resolving customer complaints brought to their attention by BCA. If they are considering doing business with the company, consumers can use this indicator to forecast the likelihood of having their issues addressed if a problem arises. CRI measures the company's customer satisfaction abilities through BCA’s complaint mediation process.

On 10/05/23 I sent Oliphant a certified letter demanding that they stop reporting the derogatory collection on my TransUnion credit report. I never heard from this company before 10/05/23. They started reporting on my credit report before/without contacting me to verify who they were. This denied me the opportunity to ask for proof of the debt. I also did not have the opportunity to give or deny them the written permission to report or not on my credit report. They are in direct violation of the consumer law: 15 USC 1692b: Except as provided in section 1692b of this title, without the prior consent of the consumer given directly to the debt collector, or the express permission of a court of competent jurisdiction, or as reasonably necessary to effectuate a post-judgment judicial remedy, a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than the consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency. I did not give them permission to report any of my personal information. I do not have a signed contract with this company nor have they provided a purchase agreement to me to prove the debt. Resolution Sought I would like for Oliphant Financial to adhere to the Consumer Laws and remove the collection account off of the TransUnion consumer reporting agency as they never provided information as to who they were before reporting to the credit bureau (TransUnion).
