I went in to the store and was going to buy alcohol and the employee wouldn't let me buy

I went in to the store and was going to buy alcohol and the employee wouldn't let me buy. I had my driving License out to show them and they wouldn't let my pay For the 3 merchandise I was getting. They should have let me buy what I was getting
