BCA's Summary and Analysis:

Some complainants allege the company misrepresents the quality of services provided. Customers complain the company falsely represents the number and availability of listings, without disclosing that buyers are supplied with property locations only, and must devise ways of contacting current owners or residents themselves. Other complainants allege various verbal misrepresentations regarding the company's guarantee, or the price of the service. Some complainants claim they were verbally advised their accounts would be debited for $99 when in fact; $199 was deducted from their account. Several complainants report there were no verbal disclosures at the time of the sale concerning cancellation and refund procedures, or they were not made aware of the policy until their 24 hour cancellation period had elapsed.

The company responds in some cases by issuing refunds or credits if the customer has submitted notice of cancellation in compliance with their cancellation policies. Other complainants requesting refunds are advised to contact customer service to request a cancellation form, or are given a projected future date to expect their refund. Allegations of misrepresentation, or other alleged deceptive practices are generally not addressed. Some complaint responses did not specifically address the complainant’s allegations.
