I made a 2nd cabinet order with the named company. My first order went through with no issues but for the 2nd order we gave the Owner, Randy a down payment of $500. We were given a receipt. Fast forward a couple months and I notified him that we had to get a new vehicle and money was short. I explained it would be around November. He replied that he was getting swamped with work and that would be fine. I told him I would TRY to make monthly payments. Last week I texted him telling him I needed to cancel my order and would like my down payment returned and my stain. He replied that he doesn't give refunds then I replied ok we will proceed with the order only we needed to remove a couple of the items. He then replied that i waited too long with no money and that he would give me $200 back but he was keeping $300 for his troubles ( 2 visits to my home). It needs to be said that his troubles dies not include materials or labor as he was a couple months from Nov start date. I replied he could send me $300 and he could keep $200 for his troubles. Nowhere was it verbalized or written on receipt that my down payment was non refundable and now he is refusing my business. Resolution Sought I want my down payment of $500 back and my $50 stain.
