This company failed to submit a service invoice to my correct insurance company-Cigna. I've noticed them of the correct insurance company, upon which they did not process the claim. The following year, Patient First issued the bill to me for out of pocket cost. I conducted a phone call with Patient First billing, Cigna, and Aetna. At that time, Aetna confirmed the date my coverage with them and Cigna confirmed the date my coverage began with them. Cigna also informed the Patient First billing personnel that they exceeded the allotted time to file the claim, and that they would have to eat the cost because they should have filed it upon first notice of the correct insurance from the patient (me). Instead of following the proper protocols and paying the cost due to their failure to meet the deadline, Patient First sent the invoice to collections for me to pay. I do not owe this debt; however, they are falsely placing this on my credit. Resolution Sought To have this debt removed from my credit, as its balance is due to their failure to timely submit the claim to the proper insurance company.
