Unethical company

Company towed vehicle with handicap placard.
Parked in authorized space, attempted to make a complaint and they simply hang up on me. Awful customer service, unethical and extremely rude.

Unethical Business Practice

Patrol One claims they have and outstanding record. They have no concern what so ever for their customers. They should understand HOA's most cases vote on who they use as a security patrol. Comuniteis pay those HOA dues if you abuse those communities ,you are biting the hand that feeds you ,eventually you will stop being fed!!! I had a towing experience last night that was absolutely absurd. We have never been towed before or had any interactions other than safe listing our guest vehicles. Last night we accidentally added an "A" to our plate number , and we were towed without notification. In addition all other info was correct on the dashboard Patrol One paper work, Model , Make and color matched , the plate number matched except one digit , it was the first time in a 90 day period this vehicle was safe listed so we were well within our 10 day limit in a 90 day period. Our address ,name , phone number contacts were all correct . Over 7 different ways to cross-reference our vehicle all were ignored the only thing the Patrol One Officer looked at to tow are vehicle was an extra "A" on our visitors plate number . Having all these other cross-reference ways to check a vehicles compliance . It is pretty obvious that a key punch error had been made . How can a company that has endorsement make such an unethical crooked decision to tow a vehicle . that clearly has a key punch error, and given the fact they had name and contact number and don't bother to call . completely uncaring, inconsiderate and over all dishonest. You as a company you be ashamed of you business practice. I called and talked to a manager named Andrew after explaining my story all he said to me was , unfortuantley this is our company policy and your HOA's rules who hired Patrol One , it is my fault that the plate was off by one digit (i take responsibility for the extra digit , but who ignored over 7 other ways to cross-reference? that blame goes on Patrol One) , he then went on to say they only go by plate numbers . I asked him why they need all the other information and what do they use it for , Andrews only answer was "we just do !!!".... WOW !!! what a slap in the face. End result Patrol One has no customer service , they just don't !!! So as of now we are out one frustrating night and $300 , still waiting for a call back from towing company Tow and Mo Towing i was put on hold for 20mins , then they took down my name and number said they will have a manager call me back . I will attend our HOA meeting Wednesday night and bring this issue up , and do my best to convince the board that Patrol One does not have our communities best in interest in mind. Dean Tate

Dean,

Patrol One is hired by Community Associations to enforce their parking rules and regulations. We currently service more than 700 associations in Orange/Riverside Counties.

I have read your complaint above, spoken to my staff about your phone calls into our office, and researched why your vehicle was towed. I have found that the correct license plate of the vehicle is 6UOA873 and the license plate entered was 6UA0A873, which not only has an extra “A”, it also has a zero rather than an “O”.

Our website has very specific directives in regards to inaccurate information being given (which I will paste below):
• Submitting inaccurate vehicle, property, or contact information will invalidate the Safelist request, potentially resulting in the citing or towing of your vehicle.
• If a vehicle has license plates installed, only Safelisting using the license plate are valid.
• Safelist days are valid from the Safelist date(s) indicated until noon on the following day.
• Once confirmed, Safelist days may not be cancelled or returned prior to their natural expiration.
• Safelist Confirmation Numbers must be placed on the dashboard of the vehicle to preclude citing or towing.

Your Safelist will not be processed until you click the 'Submit Safelist Request' button below!

In researching this issue further, I see that a Valerie Tate was the person who safelisted the vehicle incorrectly and clicked the “Submit Safelist Request” button AFTER reading our directives (above) to her, which are VERY clear and concise (Submitting inaccurate vehicle, property, or contact information ill invalidate the Safelist request, potentially resulting in the citing or towing of your vehicle).

Patrol One issues more than 5,000 safelist requests each day, which is why we have the above disclaimed on our website. It the responsibility of the person safelisting the vehicle to ensure they follow the instructions and provide accurate information.

I will be forwarding a copy of all of the correspondence to the Board of Directors so they will be ready to discuss this further when you attend the meeting on Wednesday night.
