Tried taking my wooly(long haired) husky here for a bath, deshed, and trim for the first time. Got an appointment the next day. When I arrived I was told there were 2 dogs ahead of him and that it may take a while. I would've booked another day if they were busy. But they took him right away to get bathed. 4 hours later, I'm told he's ready. My husky wanted to leave and kept trying to get out of the shop while I was paying which was unusual cause he loves to get groomed. He gets groomed elsewhere every 2 months since he was a puppy but my other groomer is on maternity leave. Grooming him usually only took 2 hours for my past groomer. Before leaving the shop, I wasn't able to inspect him in the shop because he kept wanting to leave. When I got home, I noticed his butt area was shaved down the middle and between his hind legs soo short that his pink skin was visible. I told the groomer just to trim and clean up his behind. Not shave it. Trim is with scissors like a sanitary trim. Huskies aren't supposed to be shaved like that. And then his hair on his back looked combed but when i ran may hand through his hair, there were lumps of hair knotted and matted together. My dog has never had matting. I contacted my past groomer and she said they didn't dry him right and fully comb him out to deshed his undercoat. Now he's walking around with a pink butt and a bunch of knots in his fur. He won't even let me check the skin to make sure there aren't any cuts. Have to take to vet. Resolution Sought Refund and investigate business for inhumane treatment of animals. My dog will not come out of his room.
