I had allowed my male cat to be picked up by paws west from my home to their feline hospitalization unit. The lady that picked him up requested for me to sign documents allowing the vets to care for him. She said I could just initial my signatures and reassured it he was being picked up for severe blockage treatment only. After 4 days I decided to email the dir. Laura Maxwell to just let her know that I am only interested in my cat being treated then returned. Her response was she was on vacation till the 29th of june. Then she referred me to email someone else but that person never responded back to me. By June 17th I had concerns because I couldn't really reach anyone for awhile. So I had requested for Paws West to return my male cat rimi back to me and I would just make my own arrangements for him as needed because I'm a very responsible pet owner. I never heard back from anyone accept Sophia off an on and then I didn't hear from anyone until July 1, 2021. There were three Paws West staff on the phone (the Dir. Laurie Maxwell, the Chief Med Ofr. Dr. Emily Swiniarski & the Pet Foster Dir. Kelsey Smith). When we spoke the conversation started off regarding one of my cats passing & I was requesting a dead animal removal. The dir. was like sure she could send someone but never did. I ended up calling 311 animal control that day. Before the call had ended I was informed that would not be returning my cat because of a multiple pet household. The vet laughed. I felt scammed. Resolution Sought To return my male cat rimi back to me. I did not contact this business regarding my concerns with my cat rimi's care for me to be scammed from keeping my pet cat and taken advantage of or harassed.
