In January I received a call from my business bank stating I had an unauthorized charge trying to post to my account. I called customer service and they were able to block the charge, close card and issue a new one. I had never had that happen before so I decided to review my statements. Low and behold I found about six unauthorized charges from Peaceful Digital (and other similar names). I reported them to my bank t as fraud. I learned this week that my bank could not get my money back due to the timeframe? Meaning, I did not report it soon enough so I am stuck. How do you report what you do not know about? I admit I was not up to date with my reconciling of that account (I was not using it much), but why does that mean I have to accept unauthorized charges that I had nothing to do with? There first charge started in June of 2022 and would have continued to 2023 had I not checked. Anyway, I put on my own detective hat , found the company and called them (not easy because they use a bunch of different names). They refused to refund my money saying they have a policy not to refund after 30 days and the charges were due to some raffle for a chance to win something! I confirmed I did not and why would I subject my business account to something like that? Insane. They agreed to refund one payment. I threatened to report them to the FTC to no avail. They do not care. Resolution Sought Refund all of my money back to my business account (Tax Misfits) and stop getting access to accounts of those that never signed up for their services or even know who they are. I think they posted in other names to cause confusion which helps their fraud.
