I bought a car over the internet on July 5, 2021. I put a 5000 down payment with my American express. On July 12 they sent a notary to my house in New York to sign a stack of papers, fingerprint me, and I wrote a check for 10,000 which the notary placed in an envelope and returned to Hilton Head Volkswagen. I waited until July 20 and I called hilton head vw and found out my check for 10,000 was lost. Could I please cancel. Check a ND I overnighter a new one on July 20. I hired a car carrier to bring to New York, he picked up July 24 at hilton head and delivered on July 25 to my home at 8 pm. The car was delivered with 2 keys on July 25 Absolutely no paperwork. I called hilton head on July 26, they apologized, they would send out immediately, received 2 days later a temporary plate on July 29 effective July 5 until August 5. No other paperwork so I can register in New york. I have made numerous calls to hilton head vw ,to the point where they don't answer the phone, even though I have left my phone number everything. My salesman Greg doesn't even answer my texts. Since Aug 5, my car has set in my yard can't get papers to register in New York and my first payment is due Aug 19 2021 to a car I can't drive Resolution Sought Finish the sale so I can complete and get my plates for new york state. I own a car I can't drive.
