Refund delivery was unnecessarily delayed

March 2013, I received a 'cold call' from this company and I accepted their offer to purchase an extended warranty policy for my vehicle but decided to cancel the policy after 10 days of it being in effect. My policy was cancelled April 19, I was told the amount of the refund, and was advised that the refund should be expected within 30 days of policy cancellation. After not receiving my refund in the expected time frame (by end of May), I contacted the company repeatedly, each time speaking to incompetent service representatives, who refused to escalate my call to the manager or to anyone else to help answer my questions. First, the refund hadn't been issued, and secondly, based on the amount 'in the system', the refund amount had decreased from the original discussion so I was determined to find someone who could reasonably calculate the refund amount for my understanding --- no luck. No service personnel was willing to try to answer my questions or offer to find someone who could. Haphazardly, I stumbled upon Business Consumer Alliance (www.businessconsumeralliance.org) on the web and THANK GOD for that! They intervened on my behalf and resolved the issue. After THREE AND A HALF MONTHS (Aug), I finally got my refund in the expected amount! I am so grateful for their intervention. To those that read this post, I would advise you to not do business with Precise Auto Protection. Granted, they have great salesmanship and offer what seems to be a 'great' policy, but buyer beware. The service side post-sale is absolutely horrible. The reps are unprofessional, unskilled, and unwilling to help you --- Customer Satisfaction is NOT a top priority.

Company used misleading, pushy sales tactics

Once they have you on the phone, this company is very aggressive. They lie to you about how they know your VIN number and tell you they are your car company's authorized warranty provider. Lexus doesn't have a clue who this company is. They will say whatever it takes to get the sale, buyer beware!! I am not taking any chances to see if this is a good or bad policy (My gut tells me the policy doesn't cover what they claim is covered based upon my poor experience with them so far.) They have proven themselves untrustworthy.
