Customer Complaint

On Friday two days ago we purchased a used car in Illinois, I was told that the car was very nice with absolutely no issues. After we signed off paperwork informing us of a 15 day rule in Illinois, we drove back 2 hrs into Wisconsin ware we live. We have a small child and was very unhappy to learn our car has two open recalls. One of which is for a child restraint bracket for her car seat that we we un aware it existed and does effect safety currently. In addition to that and another recall for something else, we experienced the car going into limp mode when trying to perform freeway speeds. This was incredibly unsafe with cares honking and swerving around us. We also noticed after we left that a brake light was out . We returned to the dealer who said he could get a bulb in a few days and seemed surprised. This angers us as well that after finally making it home we notice that the inside panel was taken off the light from inside the car. So it would seem that they were aware of it at some point. Then left it unfinished. ( not becoming of a dealer Also we were told that it had been inspected inside and out. Then as soon as we hit the freeway power train warning going off. Should not happen from a dealer, it is all in their contract Resolution Sought I want our car without any safety violations and now that this happened it may not get fixed correctly. I don't want 15 day duct tape fix, we've lost all faith in them and their word any longer. We want either the same or better car provided I place of this potential lemon car. We did not buy cash from a dealer only to get other owners problems. Please let me be clear. This happened day one on the way home. We promptly contacted the owner( I believe of Premier Auto in palintine, IL. ) who

Company Response

Company states; We are sorry you had issues and we offered to tow the car back for repairs but as I recall you cancelled that tow and took the car in yourself for the recalls. We offer Carfax reports for all our vehicles free of charge. Those reports show open recalls if available. Nothing is being hidden from anybody who do the proper research on the vehicles as I am sure you did. The light was fixed as there was a poor connection on the socket. A bad light socket and open recalls don't make a car a lemon. The car is 9 years old with over 100,000. They are not brand-new vehicles. Please understand when you pay $14,000 issues will come up and we never pushed you away. The car went into limp mode when traveling over 75 mph. We do not have any roads to safely take the car to that speed. All issues were quick fixes and we never told you to go elsewhere. Yours Truly Bryan Premier Auto
