Where I live there is one water company that provides water to the area, this company I have dealt with for 18 years & in this 18 years I've had problems with them since the guy that runs it now got put in charge. The company doesn't send disconnect notices they come to your home & hang a 24 hour shut off notice on your door - this is before the billing due date is due & they charge you $20.00 to do this..which they justify as past due balance even though the current bill isn't due yet. they will shut the water off if you don't pay the amount they say they are completely unwilling to work with payments even if they have been told time & time again that your on a fixed income & it is the same every month. They shut my water off in the winter time I have 3 kids all under 14 yrs of age. One of the times they shut my water off due to being a day late when I told them I was waiting for my taxes to come &the estimated date but it didn't arrive on that date so he shut if off then making all due before turning in back on plus the reconnect fee and a security deposit. Another time I was shut off for a month even though I was making payments I was $5.00 short so I was shut off. also the billing is wrong they can't explain it. I always have overages so I used less water one month & more water the next month & the overage was the same I used allot of extra water to prove my point & they offered no explanation. They read my meter 2 times a month. Resolution Sought I want the business to stop being thieves and crooked. The door hanger fee is ridiculous that's 20 extra bucks every month that obviously I have issues paying. I would like to see the guy fired honestly he's a rude snake in the grass..i would like to be filled in on why when I use extra water purposely that the overage is the same or why there is overage at all. but the less then 24 hours shut off notice before the current billing due date and 20 dollars to hang on the door is robbery.
