Company Response

10/31/2024

Company states; Prosidium Warranty & Capital did not receive notification from the Business Consumer Alliance nor the policy holder prior to the email below. Upon receipt of the letter and research into this matter, the policy holder had contacted our claims department for the first time the same week we received the email notification below, requesting guidance on submitting a claim for work completed months ago. We have reached out to the customer and agreed to reimburse $562.83 towards the covered repairs as a one-time courtesy. The reimbursement check was sent 10/28/2024. She advised that upon receiving the reimbursement she would withdraw her complaint. From what the Repair Facility understood, she did not attempt to place a claim, and she had always paid direct for repairs. We also advised of our process for claims and authorization for future claims and confirmed that this facility does work with warranty providers, and they can assist her in the future with starting the claim. Please consider this as our response in a timely manner upon initial receipt/notification from both the Business Consumer Alliance and the policy holder on or around 10/23/2024. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. Thank you, Compliance Manager Prosidium Warranty & Capital

Customer Rebuttal

11/5/2024

As of today 11/05/2024 – I have not received the partial reimbursement claim as promised from Prosidium Warranty & Capital (PWC). PWC informed me that the Toyota repair dealership overcharged for the part and labor and refused to give me the full reimbursement (less $50 deductible as outlined on the warranty contract), which I had purchased from the Toyota dealership. Per PWC reply, first and foremost, PWC made an untrue statement regarding my attempts to contact the company by both email and phone calls in the last 4 months. I have all email records sent to PWC, since May 2024, which PWC never replied to, and all phone calls made to PWC kept looping through multiple transfers and drop-off. Secondly, I always ask the dealership to look into the warranty on all my vehicles before authorizing repair. The repair dealership confirmed that they contacted PWC and was informed I have no coverage and have to pay out-of-pocket, which I later found out was a lie. It was not until I submitted my complaint to 'Business Consumer Alliance' (BCA) for assistance on 9/27/2024 that PWC took my follow up call seriously and resolved their bad-faith transaction that should have been honored.
