Prospect Medical Group became my medical group effective July 1, 2023, and it was the medical group that I had chosen as a "medi-cal" patient during my current stay in Southern California. Patient Referrals were submitted, and a follow up appointment with a certain specialist was scheduled for July 21, 2023, during the previous month of June 2023. Prospect however, indicates that my information wasn't placed into their system by them until July 20, 2023, in which indicates a medical delay and neglect of care. They furthermore informed me that their third party vendor, Med- Point management would reach out to me concerning the status of any medical referrals and authorizations, on the morning of July 20, 2023, and it didn't occur at all. Since Prospect delayed entering me in their system, the follow up appointment with a certain specialist could not be approved for the follow up date of July 21, 2023. It was also medical equipment that I needed that could not get approved for medical reasons. It must be clearly noted that Prospect had my medical file in their system at the beginning of July 2023, but they didn't officially enter me in their system until July 20, 2023, according to the information that they themselves issued to me over the telephone. It furthermore must be clearly noted that Prospect didn't give me any indication that they were in agreement to treat of care for my medical needs, and it's still no indication that I have been officially entered in their system. Resolution Sought Prospect should issue a response as to the reason it was a delay in service to treat my medical needs. I also would like to know the reason they didn't take "alleged initiative" to address matters until July 20, 2023, when they had obtained information that I was a new member with them. It's also a need for them to issue a response to the presented question of if it will be any medical services approved for the month of July 2023, and why it wasn't a return call from Med- Point as they claimed.
