On February 2nd, the tow company placed a sticker on my window for "not displaying" current tags. According to the dispatch, they have no way to verify the legitimacy of current tags, yet they have the ability to arbitrarily site a vehicle owner and "threaten towing" which would then allow for compensation to be granted from the owner retrieving their cars. The dispatcher also stated they are unable to notify "their" drivers of inaccuracies. In my case, my tags were current and I am not only awaiting the updated tag but also headed out for a 10 day vacation. It is not only disappointing that this organization enforces rules without jurisdiction to dictate, they also lack control of their operations. But they will have the ability to collect money as they see fit! This is not only fraudulent, it's extortion and a clear lack of effective management and authority. Resolution Sought Remove all residue from my window and ensure my vehicle is NOT towed before I return from my vacation! And if my car is towed, I demand any all fees to be waived since they are unable to notify drivers.
